Your cruise ship docks at Split Port in the morning and sails in the afternoon or evening. Depending on the schedule, you have between 5 and 9 hours of free time. That's plenty for one of our tours — but only if you have fast, reliable transport leaving directly from the terminal the moment you step off.
Why the Port Licence Matters
Not every taxi is permitted to enter the cruise terminal area and collect guests directly at the ship. Official Taxi Split holds a port taxi licence and pays the annual fee for authorised access to the Port of Split as a registered carrier. This means:
- Your driver waits at the terminal — no walking to a taxi rank outside the port
- No queuing with other tourists for shuttle buses
- You leave immediately after disembarking
This is especially important on shorter port calls where every hour counts.

- 11:15–13:00 — free time in the UNESCO old town
- 13:15 — departure back to Split
